Wizard

Must know software terms | Noun

the proof software runs on magic most of the time. A wizard is a setup assistant which walks the user through a series of steps needed to install something or perform a certain task. Wizards are used when tasks are complex (have a large number of steps) or when the user is unfamiliar with the process of setting up something. Often the user enters data or selects items in each view and then proceeds to the next step until completion.

“What do you want to be when you grow up, Timmy?”
