Waterfall

Dev process terms | Noun

a project which progresses largely in one direction...downwards. Waterfall is a methodology predating Agile, where tasks are organized into linear, sequential phases, each phase depending on the deliverables of the previous one. The project doesn`t move forward until the previous phase is completed. It's generally considered a less iterative and flexible approach than Agile, although it does have the advantage of more clarity and a set of well defined steps.
