the thing which gets confused with UX a lot. Truth be told, it's hard to have good UI without good UX. User Interface design is all about creating interfaces which are pleasing to the eye AND intuitive to use. UI design and UX go hand in hand in building interfaces which allow users to get the job done or, at least, not get in the way. As a wise man once said, interfaces should be like your friends.
