Retrospective

Dev & startup terminologies, Dev process terms | Noun

the moment when you look back. Not on your regret-filled life, but on your sprints and everything that worked during the sprint cycle or didn't. The sprint retrospective is part of the SCRUM framework and works on a stop-start-keep principle. The team looks at what they are doing well and want to keep doing, the things that shouldn't be carried through and the things everyone should start doing, like flossing. Retrospectives are also a great time to debate at length the meaning of common words such as “done”.

“What am I doing with my life?!” “Did you just come out of a sprint retrospective?”
