Neumorphism

Dev process terms | noun

what your interface would look like if it was made out of modelling clay. You can recognize the Neumorphic style through protruded buttons, which seem to emerge out of the background, and concave input fields, like they`be been chiseled into the surface. The key characteristic of Neumorphism is that all the elements seem to be made out of the same material as the background. This effect is achieved by playing with two types of shadows. Neumorphism is in fact a modern adaptation of skeumorphism, a term used to describe UI elements which mimic their real-life counterparts.

“These are new times, John. It's not called neumorphism for nothing.” “Then why do these designs all look the same?”
