Kano Model

Dev & startup terminologies | Noun

yet another Japanese-sounding term used in software project management. You would have thought they would stop at Kanban, Hansei or Kaizen. Kano model is a way to prioritize features on a product roadmap based on how likely they are to satisfy customer needs. Features can be grouped into five categories, depending on how important they are to the customer. Top priority requirements are the ones customers expect and take for granted, while lower priority requirements are the ones which provide satisfaction when fully achieved, but do not cause dissatisfaction when missing, since they are not expected by default.
