Flat Design

Dev & startup terminologies | Adjective

a design style that doesn't throw shade, what you see is what you get. Unlike Material design which relies heavily on elevation, flat design doesn`t use drop shadows at all, meaning it doesn't convey depth. Flat design is usually minimalistic, using clean typography and flat colors. This makes it a good fit for anything requiring a high degree of readability, from UI to posters and guide documents. On the downside, flat design has been criticized for not conveying any sense of hierarchy. Meaning users have a harder time distinguishing between primary and secondary information.
